An album titled 'Coal Miner's Daughter: A Tribute to Loretta Lynn,' will be released November 9. Sheryl Crow, Steve Earle, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Kid Rock, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Allison Moorer, Paramore, Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, the White Stripes, Lucinda Williams, Gretchen Wilson and Lee Ann Womack all appear on the album and were chosen by Loretta to record her hits. Loretta Lynn will also receive the Recording Academy’s President Merit Award October 12th and her autobiography that was originally released in 1976 will be reissued on September 21st .

Tim McGraw will receive the True Ally Award at the 2010 Men Stopping Violence awards dinner. The banquet will be held October 2nd in Atlanta, Ga. The True Ally Award is given to individuals who have dedicated time and resources to fostering safety and justice for battered women.
Kristin Cavallari played the lead in Jaron’s video for "That’s Beautiful to Me". Cavallari is best known for her role on The Hills. The video was filmed yesterday in Los Angeles.
Brad Paisley and Bon Jovi will be the next two concerts in the 'Reclaiming Our Beaches' concert series taking place in Gulf Shores, Ala. Bon Jovi's show takes place on Friday, October 15, and Brad will perform Sunday, October 17. For information on how you can get your free ticket click here.

Tuesday August 31
Trace Adkins greatest hits will be released on October 12th. The album is titled The Definitive Greatest Hits: Til The Last Shot's Fired
Brad Paisley, LeAnn Rimes and Carrie Underwood will appear on In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: All Access Nashville, which airs the night before the CMA Awards (November 9) on ABC.
Monday August 30
Willie Nelson's "On The Road Again," Alan Jackson's "Where I Come From," and Aaron Tippin's "Big Boy Toys" are all being considered as wake up calls for the astronauts onboard the STS-133 which will launch in November. Help determine the song that will win by voting here.
Doug Stone was arrested last Tuesday and charged with Driving Under the Influence. After posting a $3,000 bond later that day, Stone was released from jail and his court date set for October 5th. Stone is best known for his hit song "I'd Be Better Off (In a Pine Box)"
Reba McEntire, Dierks Bentley, Lady Antebellum, Jamey Johnson will all have songs featured on the 'Going Country Pack 04' for the Rock Band video game. The pack, which is being released this week, will cost 14.99 or you can download individual tracks for 1.99.

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will be hosting the CMA Awards again this year. The CMA Awards will air November 10 on ABC.
The bluegrass group Honeywagon has cooked up a tribute to Michael Jackson they're calling 'Songs from Neverland'. Bluegrass versions of Michael Jackson’s 'Beat It,' 'PYT,' 'Man In The Mirror,' 'Billie Jean,' 'Rock With You,' 'I'll Be There,' 'Black or White,' 'Human Nature,' 'The Way You Make Me Feel,' and 'Thriller' will be included on the album.

Thursday August 26
Little Jimmy Dickens and Brad Paisley restored the historic six foot section of stage floor to the Grand Ole Opry in a ceremony that was held yesterday. The Grand Ole Opry has been closed since 46 inches of water flooded it back in May. The Opry plans to re-open September 28th.
Kenny Chesney's documentary about high school football, The Boys of Fall, will premiere Sunday (August 29) on ESPN.
James Otto's daughter, Ava Katherine Otto, arrived Tuesday night. The baby girl weighed in at 8 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 19.5 inches long.
Wednesday August 25
The man who discovered Dolly Parton, Bill Phillips, died Monday. Dolly's demo of a song she wrote with her uncle caught Bill Phillips attention. Listen to Bill and Dolly singing the song, Put It Off Until Tomorrow, below. Phillips was 74.
Tuesday August 24
Randy Travis will release a 25th anniversary album early in 2011. Several of Randy’s hits will be on the CD as well as a few new songs. Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Alan Jackson, and Josh Turner will also be featured on the album
Dolly Parton will be starring along with Queen Latifah in a new movie called Joyful Noise. Production on the movie is slated to start around the beginning of the 2011.
Jason Aldean has announced that his next album will be called My Kinda Party. The CD is set to be released on November 2nd.
Jamey Johnson is participating in iTunes Complete My Album campaign. Starting today tracks off of Jamey's upcoming album The Guitar Song will be pre-released. Miranda Lambert will release a DVD titled Revolution: Live By Candlelight October 12th.
Jimmy Wayne and Christian fiction author Travis Thrasher are busy working on a fiction book titled Paper Angels based on Jimmy's 2004 song of the same name. The two hope to have the book ready in the fall of 2011.
Marty Stuart has planned a tour this fall in support of his new album Ghost Train. Stuart will be making a stop in South Boston, VA on October 9th.
